Gordon Matchett: CEO, Take a Hike Foundation
Optimistic, sociable, and strategic, with over 25 years of experience in the not-for-profit and corporate sector, Gordon is responsible to the Board of Directors – and entire Take a Hike community – for the current operations and future direction of Take a Hike. Gordon’s strategic approach and ability to build strong relationships has nurtured the growth and success of the organization since he joined in 2016.
Having earned a Master of Business Administration, Gordon has held senior positions in several other charities as well as a major Canadian bank. Having accomplished so much in his career, he decided to take three years off to travel and reflect on life, pursuing his passion for self-improvement and becoming the best version of himself. Outside of work, Gordon likes to decompress and plan small trips in his free time from walks in Stanley Park, to kayaking and downhill skiing with those closest to him.

Jason Shim : Chief Digital Officer, Canadian Centre for Nonprofit Digital Resilience (CCNDR)
How can we harness technology to make a difference in the world? That’s the question Jason loves to explore with organizations. Jason serves as Chief Digital Officer of the Canadian Centre for Nonprofit Digital Resilience which aims to build a digitally-enabled nonprofit sector, where Canada’s diverse nonprofits use data and tech to advance their mission and multiply their impact. As an experienced digital executive, Jason has consistently provided leadership to help organizations stay ahead of the technology curve. He has successfully championed organization-wide digital-first approaches and has developed and implemented strategies that support operations, marketing, fundraising, and program delivery. Jason also serves as an editor for Ledger, a journal focused on blockchain research, and has previously contributed his expertise to the boards of Ontario 211 and NTEN, promoting the skillful and equitable use of technology.

Alicia Williams: VP Finance, IT and Risk for YWCA BC
Alicia Williams is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and senior financial executive with experience working with Canadian and US private and public companies, and not-for-profit organizations. She is currently the VP Finance, IT and Risk for YWCA BC, a not-for-profit organization supporting women with affordable housing, employment, and childcare. Alicia has been a consultant to boards of directors, providing governance advice with an emphasis on DEI, ESG and corporate sustainability. She is also a lawyer, having acted in the role of in-house counsel, corporate secretary, as well as practicing in several other areas of the law. Alicia is the Second Vice Chair on the Board of the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia (CPABC) and also sits on the Board of Consumer Protection BC. Alicia holds a law degree (J.D.) from the University of Southern California, a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems & Accounting and a Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University.
